08/03/09 - BLUFC vs Taunton Town
Squad: Emma Henshaw, Thandi McNair, Lauren Rowels, Leah O'Brien, Amy Clift, Kit Needham, Ellen Greaves, Adele Cordy, Grace Snell, Vic Veedart, Rachel Creedon, Lois Carter
Score: 3-0
Goals: Rachel Creedon, Adele Cordy, Vic Veedart
Player of the match: Ellen Greaves
Match report: BLUFC batteled the weather and a pitch that was more mud than grass, to put in a well fought preformance and finally get some much needed points on the board. Bristol ladies took full advantage of the wind in the first half putting together some suprisingly (due to the mud) good passages of football and constantly looking dangours on the right wing, and as they came in for the end of the frist half, were a deserved 2-0 up. The second half was a different story, with the pitch getting worse. There were quite a few goal mouth scrambells and Taunton pulled out a couple of threatening attacks. But, Bristol ladies held out (with a few awesome saves from emma - as ever - who was definatly the muddiest player by the end), and finished with a deserved three points. Lets hope they can take the confidence from this match ionto their three remaining fixtures of the season.
